Having a negative self-image will influence your self-esteem.
In turn, having low self-esteem is usually accompanied by an unhealthy negative self-image.
Your self-image is based on your perceptions of reality.
Your self image is built over our lifetime and continues to change as you do, and it is definitely something you can have some influence overโฆ
How you see yourself & think of yourself
How you interpret how others see you or think of you
Your perception of your ideal self
When you feel bad about yourselves, your perception of yourself suffers and you start to feel pretty bad about yourself and your life in general.

Itโs important to have a healthy, positive & hopeful self image.
Here is one exercise i encourage you to start today
At approximately 4 pm, grab paper & pen & write down the below:
- One good thing that happened to me todayโฆ
- Something good that I saw someone doโฆ
- Today I had fun whenโฆ
- Something I accomplished todayโฆ
- Something funny that happened todayโฆ
- Someone I was thankful for today
The other thing I encourage is positive self talkโฆ we will start this journey by questioning our negative self talk:
- Iโm unlovable – ๐๐ต๐ ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ ๐๐ป๐น๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ?
- Iโm not good enough – ๐๐ต๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐น ๐โ๐บ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ด๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ฒ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต?
- Iโm ugly – ๐๐ต๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ธ ๐โ๐บ ๐๐ด๐น๐?
And so on..
Then we combat these thoughts with itโs positive counterpart:
